Frequently asked questions
Which audio formats does FS Player support?▼
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, CAF and OGG. Playback uses native macOS decoding, with no re-encoding on the default path.
Where are my songs and playlists stored?▼
Everything stays on your Mac. Library, artwork, metadata, playlists and the listening queue are stored locally.
How does Stream with Apple Music or Spotify work?▼
With the Stream subscription, FS Player mirrors and controls playback already running in Apple Music or Spotify. The corresponding app must be installed, running and authorized for automation on macOS.
Does the app upload my library to the cloud?▼
No. Online metadata lookup is optional and turned off by default. When enabled, it queries public services only to fill in missing information.
Which languages is FS Player available in?▼
Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
System requirements
